Target smallholder farmers

The opportunity

Fragmented farmers. Fragmented supply. A coordination gap.

Smallholder farmers frequently operate with limited access to quality inputs, production finance, technical support and predictable markets. Commercial buyers need reliable volumes, consistent quality and better supply-chain visibility.

For farmers

Verdeco organizes farmers into structured clusters and coordinates access to production resources, technical support and market opportunities.

For buyers

Verdeco aggregates organized production and develops market pathways for buyers seeking consistent agricultural commodities.

Our operating model

From scattered production to coordinated supply.

Our hybrid aggregation model coordinates production and market access while working with specialized partners for inputs, finance, extension and technical services.

01

Identify & verify

Register farmers, verify production capacity and build GPS-referenced farm records.

02

Coordinate production

Plan production, facilitate inputs and finance, and coordinate technical and field support.

03

Aggregate

Coordinate harvest collection, quality management, logistics and transaction records.

04

Connect markets

Match aggregated supply with commercial buyers and develop repeatable procurement pathways.

Technology & data

A digital layer for agricultural coordination.

Verdeco is building a technology-enabled operating model around farmer data, farm mapping, production planning, field monitoring, aggregation and transaction records.

GPS-enabled farmer & farm records

Structured registration and farm mapping create a more reliable picture of who is producing, where production is located and what capacity is available.

Production intelligence

Farm history, crop plans and field observations support better coordination and partner decision-making.

Traceable aggregation

Harvest records, quality information and aggregation data create visibility from organized farmer clusters to commercial buyers.

Scalable operating infrastructure

The workflow is designed to expand across farmer clusters, crops and locations as Verdeco develops its digital capabilities.

Proof of concept

2027 FCT Smallholder Maize Pilot

Verdeco is developing an initial smallholder maize pilot across Abaji, Kuje and Kwali Area Councils in Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory. The pilot will test the farmer-cluster, production-coordination, aggregation and market-linkage model at operational scale.

The pilot is being developed with engagement from FCT agricultural extension stakeholders and technical ecosystem partners, alongside commercial buyer engagement ahead of harvest.

Where we are going

Build the infrastructure that makes smallholder supply commercially usable.

Verdeco's long-term ambition is to create a scalable agricultural coordination platform that can organize farmers across crops and geographies, improve access to productive resources, strengthen traceability and make reliable smallholder supply easier for commercial markets to source.

We are building a repeatable system for turning fragmented agricultural production into organized, traceable and market-linked supply.
Partner with us
